National Approved Vehicle Examiner Scheme

HVNL
Start Time:  1:15 pm
End Time:  2:00 pm
Venue: Engine Room

How will the National Approved Vehicle Examiner Scheme work for certifiers and examiners under the Heavy Vehicle National Law?
The NHVR is looking to develop an overarching framework for governing the operation of examiners, certifiers and other 3rd parties that provide similar types of services.
The National AVE scheme is the planned mechanism for developing the overall framework as well as the specific requirements for all vehicle examiners.
The overall framework governing appointment, accreditation, audit, penalties etc across all of these types of services will be consistent, but the details of the requirements for each type of service will obviously need to be specific to the particular activity.
This approach should provide a simpler legislative and regulatory framework. So, will it make it easier to manage? The NHVR thinks so.
