Chain of Responsibility – Burden or Opportunity?

From mid-2018 the Chain of Responsibility provisions of the HVNL will include two new aspects.

The first is that for the first time maintenance will be explicitly included in the law and secondly the reasonable steps defence will be replaced by a duty to do “everything reasonably practicable” to ensure the safety of your transport operations.

ComVec will reveal how these changes have the potential to drive the adoption for innovative features such as advanced braking systems and telemetry, assisting operators in meeting their COR obligations.
